Terms of Use

The rules for reading, sharing, and interacting with TechLogStack. Short version: be reasonable; we’re an editorial site, not your employer’s lawyer.

Last updated: May 2026

By using https://techlogstack.com (“TechLogStack,” “the site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What TechLogStack provides

TechLogStack publishes editorial retellings of engineering incidents and lessons based on material companies have made public—engineering blogs, postmortems, conference write-ups, and similar sources. We organize that material into case studies with narrative structure, diagrams, and explanations aimed at a broad developer audience.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix, Stripe, Google, or any other company named in our cases unless we state otherwise in writing. Trademarks belong to their owners.

Not professional advice

Content on TechLogStack is for education and general information. It is not legal, security, financial, or engineering advice for your specific systems. Do not treat a case study as a runbook for production. Verify details in the original source before you bet an outage budget on our summary.

Accuracy and sources

We work hard to represent public sources faithfully, but retelling introduces choices—what to emphasize, what to simplify. Numbers, timelines, and technical mechanisms may be incomplete or become outdated when companies publish updates. We welcome corrections via contact.

Your conduct

When using the site you agree not to:

  • Attempt to break, scrape at abusive rates, or overload our infrastructure.
  • Submit feedback that is unlawful, harassing, or spam.
  • Misrepresent affiliation with TechLogStack or with companies we cover.
  • Reuse large portions of our presentation (layout, branding, or curated copy) in a way that implies we endorse your product without permission.

Feedback you submit

If you leave a star rating or comment on a case, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display and aggregate that feedback on the site. Do not submit confidential information in comments—we are not your company’s internal incident channel.

Intellectual property

TechLogStack’s name, visual design, and original editorial framing are ours. Company names, logos, and facts drawn from public posts remain subject to their owners’ rights. You may share links to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution. For republication of substantial portions, ask us first.

Third-party links

Cases and footers link to external sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TechLogStack and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero).

Disputes

If you have a concern about these terms or the site, contact us first at techlogstack@gmail.com. We will try to resolve issues informally before any formal dispute process.
